Interface Design Of TUBANXIONG Mobile Terminal Application For Female Travel Safety

With the development of social economy,women participate in all aspect of social production frequently.As a result,the time and space for women's outside activities are expanding;elements of travel tend to more diversified and complicated.Recently,incidents that women were assaulted during their trips were frequently reported,which made “Women's Travel Safety” to be a hot topic among the public.The security of women's travel receives high attention from the entire society.Because of their physical and psychological characteristics,women need a more secure travel social environment urgently.Traditional hardware products for personal security,such as tweet alarm and pepper sprayer etc.,no longer guarantee women's safety in term of usability and practicality,and are gradually eliminated in the market.In the meanwhile,smart phones characterized by its portability,easy operation and multi-functions are integrated into all aspects of people's lives.The rapid development of internet and the sensors' performance upgrade of mobile phones lay the foundation for designing the mobile terminal aiming at guarantee women travel safety.The topic originated from a mobile terminal application project for women travel safety,which the author participated in during the internship.The paper mainly described design process of mobile terminal interface based on brand elements.It first introduced the current development status of mobile terminal application in personal security and the study related to issues of women travel safety.It also expounded the significance of the project and confirms the main objectives of the design.After that,the author analyzed similar personal security applications found in the market and researched the unique features of functions,interaction and designs of interface.To lead right direction for brand design and interface visualization,the author conducted qualitative and quantitative studies of users through methods of observation,interviews and questionnaires to obtain users' demand and emotional cognition to this application.Finally,the author extracted the demand from the results of the user research,combined analysis of competing products to summarize the application core functions list,which was based on to build information structure.The interaction and visual design were on the basis of TUBANXIOGN brand's designing elements,which gotexperience and inspiration through interviews and mood board.The design aims at differentiating existing applications of person security,but the core functions were innovative.They provide navigation solutions with security indexes originated from map data to help users select safer travel routes.The results of this study inject fresh blood into the mobile application for personal security,which has a referential significance for the future design and development of mobile terminal applications for women travel safety.
