Following with the rapid development of e-commerce, e-government and mobile computing technology, in order to achieve effective access control and secure network communication, authentication become increasingly important and complex. Although the authentication based on USB Key (Universal Serial Bus Key) is secure and user-friendly, many problems exist in the adaptability to various applications.Based on the features that USB Key with smart card processor can process complex encryption and generate random key, this paper presents a dual key identity authentication and key exchange protocol (IAKEP). Based on the IAKEP and combined with the specific needs of applications, aimed for secure and user-friendly authentication, this paper proposes an identity authentication security platform (IASP) by using data encryption,access control,identification and network packet filtering technology. Then this paper designs the architecture of IASP, demarcates the functional modules, describes the initialization,certification,communications and exit process. Furthermore, strategy and identity management module,USB Key management module,data encryption module and packet filter module are designed and implemented.The practical application indicates that IASP extends the use of USB Key effectively. IASP can provide secure authentication and key exchange, also can provide transparent data encryption services and access control functions for other network applications. In a word, IASP has better applicability, safety and reliability.
