Museum is an important symbol of history and culture,reflecting characteristics of the times and shouldering significant social responsibilities.In recent years,China has vigorously promoted the digital construction of cultural relics resources and museums now are in a crucial stage of development evolving from quantitative changes to qualitative changes.As a current research focus,augmented reality(AR)technology provides a solid technical foundation for the digital dynamic display of cultural relics resources and a powerful assistant method for the digital construction of museum at present.However,current research results and practical cases are still lack of systematic supporting theories and multi-dimensional guidance on design method,and are more biased toward the current situation summary and application analysis.Visual representation,as a traditional art theory,advocates the “reappearance” of objective things,which is consistent with the innovative idea of “revitalizing cultural relics resources” and provides inspirations for the digital construction of museum.Therefore,this dissertation aims to explore the theoretical methods and practical processes of digital visual representation(DVR)of museum based on AR technology with comprehensive application of theories in design science,museology,computer graphics,AR technology and visual representation.The full text consists of six chapters,which can be divided into four parts according to the research content.The first part is the introduction to the study,which comprehensively expounds the background,purpose and significance of the study,summarizes and reviews the research status at home and abroad,points out the research difficulties and innovations and determines the content,methods and main technology routes of the study.The second part is the foundation of the study,which systematically studies related core concepts and theories,combines with innovative thinking on visual representation theory,sums up the model of DVR of museum and conducts comprehensive analysis of excellent cases at home and abroad,as well as discusses the trend in development of DVR of museum.The third part is the focus and core of the study.On the basis of demonstrating the necessity and feasibility of the study,the design principles are determined.This part demonstrates and analyzes the design method and design flow of DVR of museum based on AR technology from three perspectives: centralization,modularization and systematization,and forms an innovative development mode,which provides a solid theoretical basis for the digital construction of museum in the future.The fourth part is the design practice.The experimental exploration research is mainly carried out according to the above design methods.Based on the preliminary research results,the development model and application strategy of the AR intelligent system of Hubei provincial museum are constructed and the design and application of Zhongyi on mobile intelligent devices is completed.The design method of DVR of museum studied in this dissertation is based on AR technology,which is an innovative method to realize digital construction of museum by means of modern science and technology.The study has foresight in digital research and practice of museum.It is a new attempt in the digital construction of museum,a new breakthrough in methods and a new effect in practical application.
