With the continuous improvement of material and cultural level,more and more people will enhance their cultural heritage by visiting museums.At present,the display modes of the exhibits are relatively simple and the diversities of the guide are scarce,which results in lack of interaction between visitors and museum exhibits.Augmented reality is a technique that superimposes computer-generated enhancement information into the real world to realize the perception of the real world.The integration of augmented reality technology in the museum guide can solve the problem of the simplicity of exhibition modes and the lack of interaction between visitors and exhibits.The purpose of this thesis is to research and develop the application of augmented reality in the museum guide system as a vehicle to explore the new museum guide mode.Firstly,the background and significance of the research are elaborated.Then,the research status of museums with the augmented reality technology both at home and abroad is analyzed,and the combination of the traditional graphic guide mode and the new augmented reality guide is proposed.In view of the limitations of mobile phone in the processing capacity and storage capacity,the C/S framework mode is employed to handle the time-consuming operation and the storage of large amount of data by the server to ensure the real-time performance of the system.The tracking registration technology in the augmented reality technology is investigated in the thesis.The augmented reality-based exhibits navigation function is performed by the track registration algorithm based on natural features,by which the exhibits are presented to tourists in various forms.Users can not only see the pictures,texts,audio,and video presentations of the exhibits but also view the effect of 3D models superimposed on real scenes.Since the traditional GPS indoor positioning accuracy can not meet the needs of the museum navigation,the augmented reality technology,which can achieve the indoor navigation function,is adopted to provide visitors with the navigation in the stadium by integrating the museum maps,virtual directions and text information.The interface adopts the Surface multi-layer superposition technology to realize the display of virtual reality interface of the mobile.For the system,the traditional graphic navigation test,the augmented reality navigation function test,the system running time,and the recognition of similar exhibits and complex scene test are performed.The test results of the functions and performances verify the functional feasibility,real-time performance and stability of the system.
