| Along with the rapid development of ultra-wideband(UWB)communication technology,the UWB pulse antennas become a research hotpot.Tapered Slot Antenna is a planar traveling wave antenna with end-fire radiation,and has the advantages of ultra wide-band,moderate gain,and basically no distortion of impulse response,which can be applied to UWB communication and other application systems.Therefore,the research and design of high performance UWB pulse tapered slot antennas has theoretical significance and application value.A novel Post-Wall Slotline(PWS)is applied to optimize the antenna feed structure and the shape of the radiating patch,to design low cross-polarization tapered slot antennas suitable for UWB pulse signal,and to analyze the frequency-domain and time-domain characteristics of the antennas.The main results are given as follows.1)Study on PWS pulse exponential tapered slot antennas.The low impedance characteristic of PWS improves the matching performance of the feed structure,and PWS pulse exponential tapered slot antenna with double-symmetric structure is proposed.The test results of the antenna sample shows that impedance bandwidth is 1.88 GHz-20 GHz,maximum gain is 9.6 dBi,cross-polarization level is less than-20 dB.2)Study on PWS pulse Gaussian tapered slot antennas.A PWS tapered slot antenna is designed by using a new Gaussian curve and end semicircle metal patches.The good performance of the antenna indicates that Gaussian curve is suitable for the design of tapered slot antenna.The antenna simulation results show that the impedance bandwidth is 2.18 GHz-20 GHz,maximum gain is 13.4 dBi,cross-polarization level is less than-20 dB.3)Study on the enhancement of the performance of PWS pulse tapered slot antennas.By using the correction effect of dielectric lens on electromagnetic wave phase,the high frequency gain reduction is improved,and a dielectric lens loading antenna is proposed and designed.The measured results of the antenna show that using the dielectric lens,the antenna gain increases by about 3 dB in the 14 GHz-20 GHz.The UWB pulse tapered slot antennas designed in the thesis have UWB performance,moderate gain and high time domain pulse waveform fidelity,and are suitable for UWB pulse communication and radar systems. |
