In this thesis, a kind of wide-scan antenna based on homogeneous cylindrical dielectric lens is proposed here. Detailed researches are described as follows:(1) The ray-tracing technique is adopted here to analyze the horizontal polarization lens antenna; then, the planar tapered slot antenna is chosen as the feed and some parameters which play a key role in the radiation performance are studied here; The blocking effects of TSA feed array is also studied and a conclusion is obtained that the scan coverage of a single cylindrical lens is between 120°and 150°; At last, three cylindrical lens antennas are stacked together to achieve full azimuth scanning coverage. Measurement on a single lens antenna indicates that each beam covers 6°scan angle with a crossover of-3dB and the peak values are within 1dB from each other up to the 120°scan angle.(2) First, the TSA is placed vertically to feed the perpendicular polarization lens antenna and the focus properties of this antenna are studied; then, a horn structure is proposed here to control the beam width of the perpendicular plane; at last, a kind of dielectric rod antenna used as the perpendicular polarization feed is carefully researched here and good performance is achieved. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Millimeter Wave, Cylindrical lens Antennas, Tapered Slot Antenna, Multi-Beam Scanning, Horn, Dielectric Rod antenna | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
