With the popularity of smartphones and the development of multi-touch,users gradually get used to interact directly with touch-screen of smartphones by gestures, and it makes that the interactions between users and smartphones become more natural and convenient. As a result, the developers of smartphones began to explore the optimization of operating system(OS)in software, which makes a better user experience between the interactions. It has gradually been a hot spot of current research. The smoothness is one of key experience of OS,which is in urgent need, but the definition of it is not clear according to the study of existing researches, lacking the corresponding research method system and model. In the above context, user experience based on smoothness in smartphone interactive operations was studied in this paper.Firstly,we sorted out the research status of interactive performance and gesture, the basic definition of the smoothness in smartphone interactive operations was given, and user experience based on smoothness of swiping was determined as the focus of this study.Secondly, the research and quantitative methods of user experience in previous studies were summarized, based on that, user experience research model of smoothness in interactive operation of this study was proposed.Thirdly, according to this research model, user experience was divided into the perspective of cognitive experience and emotional experience. It found the factors that may influence the objective cognitive performance and conducted quantitative experiments of subjective emotional experience.Objectively,we carried out two pre-experiments.In pre-experiment 1,participants gave subjective ratings of the experimental sequence, three possible factors were founded which affect user experience of smoothness in interactive operation(single frame-loss number,frame-loss times,frame-loss interval). In pre-experiment 2,a brief user experience of experimental sequence affected by the three factors under user scores and interviews was got, which were used to to help the design of formal quantitative experiment.Subjectively,in terms of emotional experience,MOS scores and physiological data were adopted to quantify users' expectations and physical states of sequences under three objective factors. And the subjects ECG and validation of pupil size recorded were used to verify the effectiveness of the MOS scores. Then the effective scores were analyzed by ANOVA and SNK test to obtain the significance of the influence on the three factors,And the statistical model of user experience on smoothness was obtained based on regression analysis. Finally, according to the conclusion, the design str ategy of smartphone in software and hardware was proposed, and the statistical model was applied to evaluation website to help smartphone developers get scores?user experience on smoothness? the perception and emotion,so as to improve the performance of software and hardware. All in all,we use the user interviews, questionnaire,MOS score and physiological data, combining qualitative and quantitative methods, the research model of user experience on smoothness in interactive operat ions?the affected factors?the significance of each factor are got.We built statistical model of user experience and test site, provide reference methods and innovative ideas for exploring user experience on smoothness in interactive operation, and provide support and guidance for improving hardware performance and optimizing software system of smartphone, and help smartphone developers to specifically improve operational performance experience, which has certain scientific significance and application value.
