With the increase in smartphone functions and the rapid development of communication technology,smartphones have become a vital necessity in our daily lives.But Unlike traditional computers,smartphones are highly interactive devices.Most of the usage scenarios involve frequent interaction on smartphones.However,because of the insufficient software and hardware configuration,or the excessive accumulation of caches in the background,which lead to the slow response time of smartphones.The quality of user experience in smartphones largely depends on the response speed of devices to various requests for users.Therefore,it is important to study the user experience of smartphone responsiveness.Previous research of responsiveness has focused on computers and websites rather than smartphones.At present,most of the research on responsiveness focuses on determining the minimum perceived delay of users on high-performance devices.However,these studies ignore other factors that affect the user-perceived response time,and the research on the users'perception degree of different delays is also insufficient.Therefore,this paper makes an in-depth study on the user experience of smartphone responsiveness.We explored the influence factors of user experience in responsiveness and quantified user experience through experiments.Finally,we established a model between user scores and response time,and provided a user experience reference indicator for hardware and software developers of the smartphone.First of all,the three elements of user experience are user,environment,and product/service.Based on the interaction feedback process between the user and the touch-screen smartphone,we sort out the user elements,environment elements,and product elements.User elements including sensitive users,operation tasks,and touch-screen gesture clicks.Environment elements including App scenes.Product element including response time.These are user experience elements of smartphone responsiveness.Further more,we conduct in-depth research on user experience elements.It obtains the characteristics of sensitive users through the questionnaire.According to the literature,we extract the task of entering,switching and returning under the click gesture.Sensitive users select three APP scenarios related to responsiveness,such as WeChat,games,and photography,by taking part in the focus group.Moreover,these elements are applied to the quantitative experiment of user experience.Under the click gesture,we set 15 response times for 3 tasks and 3 apps for the sensitive users to experience.At the same time,the user's MOS scores for response time are collected,and physiological data(including pupil dilation and skin electrical response)are measured to verify the reliability of user scores.Experiment shows that the task type has the most significant impact on the user-perceived response time.According to Weber-Fechner's law,we construct a relationship model between response time and user rating based on task type.Last but not least,based on the conclusion of experiment,we put forward the hardware and software design strategy of smartphone responsiveness.The quantitative model is applied to the smartphone responsiveness user experience evaluation system to help developers understand the scores and emotions of users with different response time.This could help developers to improve the user experience of smartphone responsiveness.In this paper,according to the theoretical derivation and experimental analysis,we clarify the user experience elements that affect the user's perceived response time,and establish a relationship model between response time and user score based on the task type.At the same time,it provides smartphone developers with response time indicators,which have practical guidance and reference significance.And it provides a guiding strategy for smartphone hardware and software optimization.We design a user experience evaluation system,which is used to help developers to improve the user experience of responsiveness.
