A Study On China's Farmers'images In Farmers' Daily

Agriculture plays a vital role in our country,and farmers are the main body of agriculture and rural areas.This paper is based on the mirror image theory and the representation theory.Teun A.van Dijk's discourse analysis as an analysis path,combined with literature,content analysis,discourse analysis and in-depth interviews and other research methods,take Farmers' Daily as a case study.Focus on the analysis of its agriculture-related news reports presented in the image of farmers,the remaining deficiencies and the path of improvement.Through the study,it is found that there is a certain gap between the reports on farmers in the Farmers' Daily and the reality,which is embodied in the following aspects: Firstly,in terms of gender selection,it pays more attention to men;secondly,in terms of stratum distribution,mainly rural cadres;Thirdly,in the reporting area,it shows an obvious regional imbalance.The peasant image presented by the Farmers' Daily has a diversified trend: the image of village cadres,there are mainly three types: diligent and simple,hard-working and uncomplaining mass line practitioners and selfless dedication,"old scalpers" who are dedicated to the public,and smart and capable leaders who keep pace with the times.The image of ordinary farmers mainly presents three types:helpful,moral new models,learning and versatile craft successors,as well as self-improvement and hard-working labourers;the image of new professional farmers,mainly presents three types of market competition leaders who rely on science and technology,pioneering and enterprising new farmers and entrepreneurs who are grateful and willing to repay to their homeland.The peasant image presented in the Farmers' Daily has the obvious characteristics of positive propaganda and single mode,which is mainly reflected in:deliberately shaping the positive image of "Perfect man" with obvious attitude bias;the lack of normal display of the shortcomings and shortcomings of the characters weakens the authenticity,closeness,readability and supervision function of the newsreport.For this reason,this paper holds that when reproducing the image of farmers,Farmers' Daily should,while making positive propaganda,closely combine with reality,pay more attention to the complete and multi-dimensional presentation of the real image of Chinese farmers,and actively respond to social concerns,constantly enhance the dissemination,guidance,influence and credibility of its news reports among Chinese farmers.
