In recent years,the rapid development of new network services has witnessed problems and defects in resource utilization,service deployment cycles,maintenance management,and construction costs under the tightly coupled control plane and forwarding plane of traditional broadband remote access servers.At the same time,the network architecture is also on verge of historic transformation.In the first part of the paper,the author introduces v BRAS which is based on the idea of SDN's centralized control and NFV's device virtualization,and then studies the implementation of transfer and control separation v BRAS in the Metro Data Network.The author put emphasis of designing on network architecture,interworking interfaces,business processes,and deployment solutions.Besides,the author analyzed the result and finally forecast the future direction of the Metro Data Network.The main content and results of this paper can be summarized as follows:(1)Researches on key new technologies such as SDN,NFV,Vx LAN,and v BRAS related to transfer and control separation v BRAS,including the development of these new technologies,typical architectures and correlations,and introduction of the implementation model and main advantages of transfer and control separation v BRAS.(2)The systemic designs of transfer and control separation v BRAS in the Metro Data Network from four aspects including system architecture,related interfaces,system networking and business processing.Combined with the system,specific requirements are put forward for v BRAS equipment in terms of function,performance and reliability.(3)Success in the test of transfer and control separation v BRAS in the Metro Data Network.Based on the content of this paper,a specific test plan was developed,which involved networking schemes,CP and UP deployment schemes,CU control channel schemes,interconnection schemes with surrounding systems,specific service bearing schemes.As a result,workers configured users to access VLAN on the S7606 E interface of the aggregation switch,cut over to the newly added UP device ME60-X8,executed commands on the CP to make all users online,and perform business tests.(4)According to the results of transfer and control separation v BRAS in the Metro Data Network,the author summarized the conclusions about system-related computer room location,software and hardware and control channel networking solutions,function / performance requirements,service carrying capacity,peripheral supporting system connection,reliability guarantee,maintainability management,and operation and maintenance mode.The analysis shows that transfer and control separation v BRAS mainly has value on four aspects application such as improving resource utilization,centralized management,simplifying operation and maintenance,shortening the service on-line cycle and opening network capabilities.Through transfer and control separation v BRAS,it is expected to gradually realize the evolution direction of the future Metro Data Network.
