Mobile edge computing(MEC)is a widely recognized new network architecture that can solve the problems of traditional centralized cloud computing architectures, and it can also provide a platform foundation for the generation of new mobile applications, such as task migration.Task migration uses task component hosting technology to migrate user tasks from mobile devices to edge servers, and utilizes the rich computing resources to accomplish the tasks better.Container technology is currently the most popular task component hosting technology. It is favored by people because of the Docker container standard. However, containers still have the disadvantages of slow migration speed and unsuitability for heterogeneous environments.Mobile Agent is an emerging task component hosting technology.Compared to container, mobile agent has the advantages of small data transmission, fast startup and running speed, and adaptability to heterogeneous environments. However, the research of mobile agents in the field of task migration is still in its infancy and lacks task migration framework that can be used directly. In order to solve this problem, this thesis proposes a task migration framework based on mobile agents, elaborates the system model and its components, and explains the mechanism and process of mobile agents in the framework to achieve task migration. Then,a mobile agent program that can undertake task migration is implemented, and the requirements and implementation process of the program are introduced. Finally, the function of the framework is verified through simulation experiments, and the performance of mobile agents and containers in task migration is compared. The results show that mobile agents are smaller and faster than containers. In addition, this thesis also proposes a mobility management algorithm based on energy budget to guide the migration of mobile agents among multiple edge servers. The algorithm takes advantage of the ability of mobile agents to obtain global state information, enabling mobile agents to dynamically adjust the migration strategy based on the user's Qo S requirements. Then simulations are executed to test the influence of the adjustment parameter and energy budget of the algorithm on the performance of the algorithm. Results show that the proposed algorithm allows mobile agents to make optimal migration decisions within the constraints of the energy budget set by the user.
