The wireless on-chip network realizes one-hop reachability of multi-hop wired communication by introducing a wireless link,which solves the problem of high long-distance multi-hop delay in the wired on-chip network.However,the number of wireless nodes is small,and the traffic in the subnet is gathered around the wireless nodes,reaching the limit of the wireless node's processing capacity.Unsent data packets accumulate in the buffer to form hot spots.On the other hand,the physical characteristics of wireless channels,antennas,and transceivers are more complicated.During the wireless signal transmission process,due to factors such as crosstalk,coupling,and device aging,the bit error rate increases significantly.For these problems,this paper proposes related solutions.Perform error-tolerant processing on the token data used to control the wireless channel;control and avoid wireless router congestion;turn off idle components in combination with network congestion and error conditions to reduce power consumption.The main contents are as follows:(1)The wireless router in the wireless on-chip network needs to handle the longdistance multi-hop communication task of the wired router in the same subnet.The communication task is heavy,and it is easy to cause congestion.Based on this,a low-power router solution for congestion control is proposed.First,a large number of congested data packets at the wireless receiving end are stored in other port buffers with large idleness through a data packet distribution module.Secondly,a global arbitration module is added to record the idle status of the wireless transmission buffer,and priority is given to authorizing wireless routers with dense buffers to use the wireless channel to send data to avoid congestion.Finally,the wireless router without wireless communication task in the power-on state is power-gated to reduce system energy consumption.Experimental results show that the scheme improves the wireless router congestion problem.(2)In the process of wireless communication,the communication flow at the wireless node is intensive.At the same time,when the token is delivered,it is easy to make mistakes or even lose.To solve these two problems,a scheme of congestion control and token fault tolerance is proposed.Firstly,the congestion data of the destination wireless node is sent to the idle wireless node first,and then to the final destination node from the idle node;secondly,under different network error rates,the corresponding fault tolerance scheme is adopted to ensure the correctness of token flit;finally,the idle component is closed to reduce the static power consumption of the network.The simulation results show that the scheme enhances the reliability of communication and reduces the communication delay and power consumption.
