Network-on-chip as a new multi-core interconnect communication architecture,breaking the traditional bus-based multi-core interconnect system bottleneck problem.However,the link of network-on-chip as a key data path between the routers,due to soft errors,inter-line crosstalk,temperature and aging issues,the reliability of link transmission faces a great challenge.In addition,with the gradual expansion of the scale of the on-chip network,the high latency communication problem caused by the long interconnection in network-on-chip needs to be solved urgently,the method of using wireless communication technology in network-on-chip emerged.In this paper,the problem of the possible failure of the link and wireless communication method in network-on-chip are studied deeply.The main work of the article is as follows:(1)A reliable fault-tolerant method for solving transient faults and intermittent faults is proposed in this article,which is based on the possible failure of the link in the network-on-chip during transmission.This method detects whether the data transmitted in the link is wrong in the network.According to the number of errors and the continuity,it is necessary to define the fault as transient fault or intermittent fault,so as to take different measures to tolerant fault.When the data is detected and the error is not corrected correctly,the instantaneous fault of the link is defined,and the data in the upstream retransmission buffer is transferred back through the link.When the number of errors that have occurred and can not be properly corrected in the data is detected 3 times consecutively,the definition of the link appeared intermittent failure,backup in the virtual channel within head flit modified to pseudo head flit or pseudo tail flit,repair the data packets that are truncated by the faulty link,and tolerate the problems caused by the intermittent failure.The experimental results show that the fault-tolerant method can obviously reduce the influence on the system and ensure the stability and reliability of the system.(2)A high efficient wireless routing algorithm for subnet congestion dimension awareness is proposed in this article,which is a high latency problem of long interconnection communication caused by the continuous expansion of network-on-chip.Firstly,based on the 10×10 mesh wireless on-chip network topology,a new model of wireless interface congestion information propagation is designed.In this model,the congestion information value of wireless interface in the wireless router node of the subnet is transmitted to the router with the same dimension as the wireless router in the subnet,then the router in the same dimension realizes the congestion information at the wireless interface perception.Secondly,this article designs an efficient wireless routing algorithm.According to the congestion information of the wireless interface,the flexible configuration between the wired link and the wireless link resource is realized,which makes the network-on-chip resources are used effectively.The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can greatly reduce the delay and improve the throughput,which indicates that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the performance of the network.
