Wireless antennas and wireless transceivers were used in wireless network on chip(WiNoC)to establish a hybrid wired and WiNoC,which has a good performance in terms of power consumption and latency.However,the WiNoC communication architecture has defects such as high error rate,which affects the reliability of WiNoC.The bit error rate of the traditional metal interconnect is much lower than the bit error rate transmitted by the millimeter wave,and it is easy to form a fault hotspot and affect the overall performance of the network.At the same time,the millimeter wave will have a faster energy attenuation during transmission,and the wireless signal loss is severe,with the increase of the transmission distance.In addition,the wireless channel is highly susceptible to external environment,and the bit error rate will also increase significantly with the accelerated aging of the chip.Therefore,this paper conducts in-depth research on the transient and permanent faults that may occur in the wireless interface of the wireless on-chip network as the communication backbone.The main work is as follows:(1)For the transient failure of the wireless interface in the wireless router,this paper presents a highly efficient acknowledgement feedback(EF-ACK)fault-tolerant wireless interface(WI)design.Several confirmation information is configured in a data packet,which can be transmitted over the wireless channel.Establish a retransmission data buffer at the wireless interface to validate the data in the most efficient manner and to control the retransmission of erroneous data packets.In addition,a network-state-based codec control is proposed,which improves the robustness of the data by means of BCH coding when the network conditions are poor.It can be concluded that the proposed scheme efficiently performs wireless acknowledgment feedback on data with only a small additional area and power consumption overhead and ensures a lower network latency and higher Saturated throughput in the network when the error rate is serious,greatly improving the performance of the network.(2)For the permanent failure of wireless interface in wireless router,this paper proposes a wireless interface fault dynamic detection strategy and fault-tolerant routing algorithm in WiNoC.Classify the fault conditions of the WI in the WR and adopt a coverage detection strategy to implement WI fault detection during WiNoC operation.The strategy classifies the fault conditions of the WI in the WR and adopts a coverage detection strategy to implement WI fault detection during WiNoC operation.This paper proposes a recent wireless routing algorithm based on the non-faulty WR table,which can transmit the data packet using the non-faulty WR when the WR fault occurs in WiNoC,and maximize the performance of the network.Experiments show that the proposed scheme can effectively guarantee the network performance when the WR fails in the network,and the effect is obvious when the WR is moderately faulty.
