With the commercialization of the fifth generation of mobile communication systems(5G),the integration of satellite communication and ground 5g has become a key research direction in the industry.LEO satellite network can cover the whole world and communicate with anyone at any time and place,which is an effective supplement and extension of the ground cellular network.Particularly,the promotion and deployment of low earth orbit(LEO)satellite constellations such as One Web and Star Link accelerate the development of LEO satellite network.However,due to the high dynamic nature of LEO satellite,its network topology changes rapidly,which causes the network management problem to become the difficulty of LEO satellite network application.In network management,mobility management is the key technology.How to build a mobility management mechanism suitable for high dynamic LEO satellite network is an urgent problem.This paper will focus on the mobility management of LEO satellite.Firstly,this paper investigates the development of LEO satellite constellation at home and abroad,and analyzes the current characteristics of LEO satellite constellation.Then,the development of mobility management technology is studied,and the challenges and future development direction of mobility management are given.After referring to the architecture of distributed mobility management on the ground,this paper proposes dynamic virtualization distributed mobility management(DV-DMM)model is mainly used to solve the problems of poor scalability and single point failure of centralized mobility management.At the same time,the problem of establishing satellite ground station on the ground is solved by using satellite to build virtual gateway.Through theoretical analysis,the signaling overhead of DV-DMM is about 60% of that of traditional MIPv6 based satellite mobility management method.Finally,according to the characteristics of DV-DMM architecture,this paper proposes two optimization methods,which are group based hybrid information synchronization method and k-step pointer based virtual gateway synchronization method.The simulation results show that the two optimization methods can reduce the management overhead and delay of the system,and improve the system performance to different degrees.
