With the rapid development of mobile communication technology,the number of intelligent devices is growing explosively.With the improvement of the demand of intelligent devices for network coverage,the performance of network coverage becomes more and more important.For the LTE network which is now in mature use,reasonable base station antenna azimuth and dip angle will directly affect the coverage performance of the network.In the traditional network optimization method,the configuration of base station antenna azimuth and dip angle mainly depends on the experience of network optimization personnel.This method has strong subjectivity,low accuracy,and can't make adjustment according to the distribution of users in time.It is easy to reverse adjustment and test of base station,which increases the capital expenditure and labor operation cost of telecom operators.Therefore,coverage self-optimization technology will become an essential key technology in the future mobile communication.In this paper,the technology of base station coverage self-optimization in mobile communication system is studied.The performance index of base station coverage is obtained automatically,the base station with abnormal coverage is identified,and the optimal azimuth and dip angle of base station antenna are generated through optimization process and optimization algorithm to realize the real-time adjustment of base station coverage performance according to user distribution.First of all,this paper studies LTE network architecture and self-organizing network function,introduces LTE network architecture,describes key technologies and functions of LTE network,introduces self-organizing networkfunction architecture,describes the application of self-organizing network function and main use cases of self-optimizing function.Secondly,the biological model,basic principle and implementation process of the artificial bee colony algorithm are described in detail,and the characteristics of the algorithm are summarized.By solving the minimum value problem of test function,the optimization performance of the artificial bee colony algorithm is simulated.Finally,this paper proposes a coverage self-optimization method based on the artificial bee colony algorithm.This method obtains the user distribution by minimizing the road test technology,establishes the optimization model according to the location relationship between the base station and the user distribution,and uses the artificial bee colony algorithm to solve the optimal solution of the optimization model to generate the best azimuth and dip angle of the base station antenna.The simulation results and field tests show that the coverage self-optimization method proposed in this paper can improve the coverage performance of the base station accurately,timely and effectively.
