Relying on the rapid development and popularization of media technology,games have changed from traditional single player interaction to interpersonal social activities.Games have not only become an entertainment platform,but also become a social tool.In the game world,players not only interact with the game mechanism,but also interact with all kinds of players,and develop a new social network.Such an interesting online game with a social media account provides an interesting system for players.With their own game expectations,players devote themselves to the virtual world of the game.With the development of the turbulent plot,through the expansion of communication in the world of the game,they pay time and energy,harvest the growth of game level and exchange and so on,so as to achieve more social experiences,such as people display,emotional solidarity and cultural identity.In order to explore the formation of the virtual community of online games and the community interaction of game players,based on the theory of interactive ritual chain,this study uses the research methods of questionnaire survey and virtual ethnography,combined with the researcher's personal game experience,and selects the most popular phenomenon level mobile game-" Arena of Valor ",as an example which has the largest user scale and the longest life span,this paper studies the internal dynamic mechanism of the formation of online game virtual community and its communication characteristics,trying to interpret the formation of online game virtual community and the social interaction of users in the virtual community from the perspective of communication.This paper can be roughly divided into the following five parts:First of all,in the introduction part,it explains the origin,methods and significance of the research.By combing the basic concepts and research status of online games,virtual communities and interactive rituals,this paper expounds the possibility and necessity of applying the theory of interactive ritual chain to the interpretation of online games virtual communities from the theoretical and practical aspects.The third part,combines the ethnographic observation of the virtual community of online games,and expounds the four elements of the interactive ceremony of the virtual community of "Glory of the King" : the virtual presence of the interactive subject,the identity of the interactive subject,the common concern and interaction of the interactive subject Subject's emotional sharing.in the third part,based on the ethnographic observation of online game virtual community,taking "online /offline" and "high degree of ritualization / low degree of ritualization" as coordinates,the community activities of " Arena of Valor " are divided into four categories: "online informal activities","online formal activities","offline informal activities" and "offline formal activities".Each category selects typical activities dynamic analysis;the fourth part,based on the observation and analysis of the interaction ritual activities of the game community,expounds how the players feel the emotional connection between themselves and the community group in the community activities,and generate the emotional unity of "us",and can take the emotion and symbol generated by the interaction ritual community as the resource to carry out the follow-up social interaction and expand the broader social relations.From this,we can get the dynamic cycle mode of interaction ritual of game community.That is,"interaction ceremony—emotion/emotion energy—symbol / symbol capital—interaction ceremony",which is the basic dynamic structure of the emotional unity and cultural identity of the game community;The fifth part expounds the significance of the formation of interaction ceremony chain: it can enrich the life experience for individual players;at the same time,participating in online games is also an important channel for people to accumulate social capital.Finally,on the basis of the above research,the paper points out the problems existing in the communication and interaction of virtual community.The author found that these four activities all have the effect required for ritualization,which enhances the emotional unity and cultural identity of the community members.The fifth part expounds the three emotional energies brought to the community members by the virtual community interaction ceremony of "Glory of the King"-individual sense of accomplishment,group unity and morality.The author outlines a circular pattern between symbols and emotional energy in the process of interactive rituals: interactive rituals-emotion / emotional energy-symbol / symbol capital-interactive ritual.Based on the Collins interactive ritual chain model,the interactive ritual chain model of the "king of glory" virtual community is depicted and the meaning brought by the formation of the interactive ritual chain is explained: from the perspective of interaction with the real society,game behavior can improve participation The team 's ability to collaborate;at the same time,the interaction of participating in the virtual community of online games can also promote the reinvestment of player symbol capital and the expansion of social relations,and promote the diversification of social structure and the social growth of players.Finally,based on the theory of interactive ritual chain,the author gives some guidance and suggestions to the current community operation,in order to help the community operator to carry out community operation and management work more reasonably.
