In the field of power electronics technology,three-phase full-bridge circuits are widely used.For a three-phase full-bridge circuit,an excellent performance IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor)driver chip can improve the efficiency of the entire motor system while ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the three-phase full-bridge circuit.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the IGBT driver chip applied to the three-phase full-bridge circuit.Based on the actual application requirements,this paper studies the design of the IGBT driver chip applied to the three-phase full-bridge circuit.The thesis first completes the design of the overall block diagram of the chip,determines the design index of the chip according to the actual application requirements,and analyzes and designs each circuit module in detail,including the linear regulator,the bandgap reference circuit,and the chip under-voltage detection circuit,chip over-temperature detection circuit,three-phase full-bridge circuit low-side IGBT short-circuit detection circuit,three-phase full-bridge circuit high-side IGBT short-circuit detection circuit,IGBT drive circuit and other modules.For the IGBT hard short-circuit fault,this paper proposes a new type of hard short-circuit fault detection circuit,which detects whether the IGBT has a hard short-circuit by detecting whether there is a Miller platform for the voltage VGE when the IGBT is turned on.Compared with other detection circuits of the same type,it has the advantages of simple working principle,small layout area,low power consumption and full integration.In this paper,it is used to detect hard short-circuit faults of high-side IGBTs,at the same time,VCE desaturation detection method is used to realize soft short-circuit faults detection of high-side IGBTs;for low-side IGBTs,di/dt-gate voltage detection method is used to detect two kinds of short-circuit faults.For the error detection which may occur by using this method,an additional comparator and the corresponding digital circuit are added to solve it.Spectre simulation software was used to design and simulate each circuit module,and the function of the chip was simulated and verified.The power supply voltage of the driver chip designed for the three-phase full-bridge circuit designed in this paper is 15V,the input interface circuit is compatible with 3.3V CMOS signals and 5V TTL signals,the output drive voltage is 15V,the maximum output drive current is 1A,and it can handle the square wave signal with the highest frequency of 50kHz.Various fault detection circuits are integrated inside the chip.These detection circuits can quickly detect various faults that occur and protect the normal operation of the entire circuit system.The chip is designed and simulated based on the world's advanced semiconductor(VIS)700V BCD process.The simulation results show that the designed chip meets various requirements.
