Since 2018,the micro documentary,If the National Treasure Talks,has become popular on the bilibili.com(hereinafter referred to as "B.com").With the good results of these two seasons in succession,more and more people have observed that when the mainstream culture entered the subculture field like B.com,it received popularity and enthusiastic reception of its user group instead of traditional resistance and counterattack.For the user group of B.com,it broke through the original constraint of their identities and the originally public understandings of their cultural identity.This user group with the characteristics of youth subculture,after mainstream culture entered the subculture field,they show great favor and value recognition to the works of mainstream culture.Therefore,as a video website that heavily relies on the participation of the user group,what did the user group of B.com experience in the practice of participatory culture of this special cultural performance?How was their cultural performance realized by practice?Attempts are made to analyze the phenomenon,guided by consciousness of problems and based on Hall's theory of cultural cycle.In order to answer this series of questions,netnography,the semi-structured interview and content analysis are used to examine the practice methods where the user group in B.com has exerted the special cultural performance.This research is divided into the introduction,conclusion and other five chapters.The first chapter is the overall framework of this research.The key concepts and the theoretical paradigm used in this research are expounded and introduced.In the second chapter,the participation methods where the user group in B.com have exerted the cultural performance are introduced with analysis of the contents of bullet comments and the semi-structured interviews with the 32 users who have uploaded the relevant mashup videos of "If the National Treasure Talks" to B.com.The research conclusions and interviews in the second chapter are used for the analysis in the third,fourth and fifth chapters.It includes analysis of the driving forces for their special cultural performance in the third chapter,of their behaviors of sending bullet comments in the fourth chapter,and of their behaviors of uploading mashup videos in the fifth chapter.Based on sending bullet comments and mashup videos,it is explored that how they have achieved the cultural performance in their participation and practice.It is found by study that the special cultural performance of the user group in B.com is related to their own cultural undertaking.The current social environment is still led by mainstream culture,so that with the continuity of the cultural inheritance,the user group of B.com cannot completely "break" the connection with the national culture.The culture performance happened as the number of uses in B.com has rapidly grown and the subculture is seeking the affirmation and identification of mainstream culture.In the discursive practice,a viewing community has been formed by the user group of B.com with the ritual of bullet comments.They have applied the subcultural elements and discourse of national emotion for collage and isomorphism.By repeatedly strengthening their emotional resonance,the subculture identify has allowed itself to give way to the"sacred" national cultural identity.Finally,the user group of B.com has completed the emotional identity to the mainstream culture.By the production practice of "mashup videos,double counterattacks and discipline of mainstream ideology",the user group of B.com is closer and closer to mainstream ideology.While they are subject to disciplines of official ideological,they also use micro-powers to discipline others.In addition,the discipline of mainstream culture will not be absent.The seemingly lively method of participation is impossible to get rid of the close monitoring of power.
