Study On The Chinese Celebrity's "Pers Onal Setting" From The Perspective Of Fan Culture

The word "personal setting" originates from the character setting in the two-dimensional comics.Later it gradually expanded to film and television characters and real-life characters,used to represent specific characters.In recent years,online celebrity with a huge fan base have sprung up,the celebrity's personal setting has become a hot word in the entertainment industry,go against one's personal setting phenomenon also happens frequently.Many celebrities are "personal setting for success and personal setting for failure".All these phenomenon is closely related to the participation of fans.The stars of the fan participation era have more opportunities and challenges than the stars of the mass media era.In this process,the power of fans has also increase rapidly,becoming an important part of the development of stars.This study targets the phenomenon of "personal setting" of online celebrity with a huge fan in the context of fan culture,using qualitative research methods,such as virtual ethnography,text analysis,case study,document analysis,researching on the phenomenon of personal setting in the entertainment industry in recent years.It mainly analyzes the reasons for the rise of celebrities' personal setting,the role of fans in the establishment of personal setting,the reasons for the collapse of personal setting,and the impact on fan groups after the celebrities' personal setting collapse.The article is mainly divided into three parts:" the power of personal setting formed:media,capital and audience","the invisible pusher of personal setting:fans","the impact of personal setting collapse:the differentiation of fan groups".This study begins with an exploration of the rise of celebrity's personal setting,analyzing the reasons for the popularity of human phenomenon from multiple perspectives,it is believed that the rise of personal setting is driven by the media,capital,and the audience.The symbolization of consumption,the development of social media,the changes in the star making model and the brokering model have provided conditions for the establishment of personal setting,the audience also actively participated in the construction of celebrities'personal setting,the role of fans in the process of shaping the star's personality began to highlight.Secondly,this study believes that fans played an important role in the establishment of celebrities' personal setting.By introducing cases of online celebrity with a huge fan,the analysis shows that fans have different identities such as individuals,group members,opinion leaders,and text producers.Under different identity backgrounds,fans have constructed the star's personal setting by constructing self and collective identity,actively guiding public opinion,and producing idol texts.At last,due to the star's weaknesses such as labeling,simplification,and oppression by power,in addition,fans are constantly awakening during the communication,go against one's personal setting phenomenon frequently appear.And after the celebrity'personal setting collapse,fans of different attributes also behave differently.Some fans choose to remove powder to show dissatisfaction and resistance,iron fans chooses to maintain and reconstruct idol's image,the fans who dislike the celebrity took the opportunity to carry out the reverse modeling of the person.Celebrities' personal setting is a product of the current cultural industry,different forces contribute to this,achieved many "perfect" stars.This article highlights interaction between fans and celebrities.That is,fans participate in the formation of celebrity's personal setting through their actions,promoting the establishment and spread of celebrity's personal setting.The collapse of personal setting has in turn caused the differentiation of fan groups,different fan groups have different influences on the development of star personalities.
