In the context of the in-depth layout of social media and the continuous development of the new economic form,internet celebrities on social media continue to expand their influence and communication capabilities,and are no longer synonymous with negative image.Out of the need of evolving economic industry chain of internet celebrities,and with the support and encouragement of fans,internet celebrities tried to cooperate with publishing houses to publish books to achieve the transformation from internet celebrities to authors.The relationship among publishers,authors,and readers in traditional publishing has changed in the context of internet celebrity publishing.This article takes internet celebrity,fans,and "internet celebrity books" as the main research objects,and employs Robert Darnton's Book Circulation Model in describing the production and circulation of text in internet celebrity publishing.Based on the phenomenon of internet celebrity publishing,the article clarifies the scope and concept of internet celebrity,and sorts out the development history and scale types of internet celebrity publishing.On this basis,from the perspective of cultural consumption,this article explains the significance and value of "internet celebrity books" and affirms their cultural communication significance.Finally,based on the current problems of the "internet celebrity book",the corresponding optimum measures and suggestions are proposed,aiming to hope that internet celebrity books can develop for a long time and exert more social benefits for fans and other readers.The research methods used in this article mainly include literature analysis,case analysis,and network survey.The case analysis method is used intensively on representative internet celebrities and their books,May I Have No Ttime to Recall the Past,Notes on Haicuotu,Sophisticated Homo Sapiens,and other high-quality books.First,the author reviewed the literature related to internet celebrity books,and defined the two concepts of internet celebrity and internet celebrity book.Internet celebrities originated in the new media era,attracting fans with distinctive characteristics,and actively interacting with fans.They not only have influence and communication capabilities,but also have the potential for commercial monetization.The internet celebrities involved in this article are good at content creation,including self-media celebrities and Duan Zishou.Internet celebrities are active in social platforms,e-commerce platforms,short video live-broadcasting platforms,etc.,while those mentioned in this article are much more active in Weibo,We Chat,Zhihu and other platforms due to their need to create content.Meanwhile,Weibo is the core application on account of its publishing capacity.Secondly,the author comprehensively summarized the current status of internet celebrity books,and reflected their development process,scale,and type from four aspects: book publishing time,theme,content,and Douban score.Based on Darnton's Book Circulation Model,the author established the circulation circle of internet celebrity books,described their production and circulation,and analyzed the specific activities and characteristics of each communication node.On this basis,from the perspective of cultural consumption,the author discussed the value and significance of "internet celebrity books".The industry's evaluations of internet celebrity books are mixed,but it is undeniable that "internet celebrity books" can improve the cultural image of internet celebrities and meet the reading expectations of fans.Fans can actively and effectively interact with online celebrity authors during the publishing process and reading process.Besides,"internetcelebrity books" can also bring considerable benefits to publishers.Finally,combining with the current problems of "internet celebrity books",the author got inspiration from the changes in reading methods,and proposed optimum strategies for "internet celebrity books",including topic selection strategies,printing strategies,and marketing strategies,with a view to inspiring publishers and internet celebrities in practice.In short,this article clarifies the scope of internet celebrities and social platforms they are active in,reveals the relationship among internet celebrities,fans,publishers,and social platforms,and affirms the value and significance of "internet celebrity books".The research findings have practical significance and can guide the internet celebrities and publishers to optimize their publishing strategies.
