Research On The Characteristics Of Cultural Communication Of China Daily

With the development of national economy and the promotion of international status,China has paid more and more attention to the international communication of Chinese culture in recent years.General secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that we should "tell China's story well and spread China's voice well"."telling China's story is the purpose of the age,and telling China's story well is the mission of the age".This requires foreign media to dig into the Chinese story,master the way of telling the Chinese story and spreading the Chinese voice.As the status of the national media,China Daily is one of the most important international broadcasting tools in China,which carrying the responsibility of presenting Chinese international image and spreading Chinese culture to the world.In addition to hard news such as economy and politics,soft news related to Chinese culture is also an important part of China Daily's coverage.The analysis of the development of China Daily's intercultural communication not only helps to understand the development of China's international broadcasting industry,more importantly,is to judge whether the international broadcasting industry that presented by China Daily has finished the job by Chinese Communist Party's 18 th Congress particularly assigned for this age,or not.Firstly,this paper has collected samples of China Daily's reports on intercultural communication after the 18 th national congress of Chinese Communist Party.Secondly,has divided the samples into two categories,one was sourced from Chinese government and another was sourced from civilians.Thirdly,has understood the development of China Daily's intercultural communication by utilization of the agenda setting theory.Fourthly,has compared the advantages and disadvantages of the development of the intercultural communication of China Daily.Firth,has concluded whether "China Daily" has completed the task that particularly assigned for this age made by Chinese Communist Party' 18 th National Congress,or not.Finally,has summed up whether the broadcasting industry that presented by China Daily has improved the China's international discourse power,the national cultural soft power and the comprehensive national strength after Chinese Communist Party's 18 th National Congress,or not.
