The Presentation,Construction And Significance Of "Female Power" In News Stories

"Female power",a rare conceptual combination,which has been emphatically put forward in the context of the MeToo movement,and is mostly presented in public spaces in the form of life stories.This study selects the relevant reports of The People magazine,through text and discourse analysis,examines the specific direction and constituent elements of "Female power" in the production of today's news stories,and how it corresponds to the situation of women,links cultural power and social relations,in order to Understand the rich connotation of this concept in different aspects,and try to provide inspiration for related issues and news production.The study found that the "Feminine power" in news stories can be interpreted from three levels:"Affective power","Vital power",and "Refactoring power",which refer to women's physical feelings,social symbol systems and adaptation methods,and the transcendence of norms and taboos.In addition,The People magazine continues these three types of features:using emotional narrative strategies,breaking the logic of traditional coherent narrative,allowing interviewees,readers and reporters to work together to produce news story texts.These have the significance of expanding the existing social and cultural discourse and news production.
