Since The 19 th National People's Congress,China's economic development has shifted from high-speed growth to high-quality development.With the strong support of national policies for cultural industries,publishing media enterprises is becoming more and more important among national economy.In the change process from a institution to a company,the ownership and actual control of the company have been separated.The information asymmetry between the company's senior management and the company's shareholders and the lack of effective supervision of the executives may all damage their performance.So the research on different incentives for executives and proving whether they can promote corporate performance through reasonable incentives may enrich incentive method for the publishing media industry.Besides,it can also improve work motivation,reduce the agency cost of enterprises,and provide a theoretical basis for decision in the publishing media.This paper has firstly studied related literature,learn the status quo of research at home and abroad and known the theoretical basis and research methods of executive incentives.Secondly,based on the research results of the literature theory and the status quo,put forward four assumptions about the relationship between salary incentives and enterprise performance,promotion incentives and enterprise performance,equity incentives and enterprise performance,comprehensive incentives and enterprise performance.With the help of quantitative analysis methods,the appropriate explanatory variables,interpreted variables and control variables have been defined and six theoretical models had been determined.Then through iFinD database,39 published media listed companies that meet certain conditions have been selected.The research date range is from 2011 to 2018.on the help of descriptive statistical analysis,correlation analysis and empirical research methods,correlation study between executives' incentives,compensation incentives and promotion incentives have started.The research results are as follows:(1)Equity incentives have no significant impact on publishing media companies and there is a weak positive correlation between the number of shares and corporate performance;(2)Salary incentives have a mutative effect on publishing media companies.When the salary gap is below the critical value,corporate performance will increase as the gap increases.On the contrary,it will fall.(3)Promotion incentives have a positive effect on on publishing media companies.The business performance can be promoted by increasing the internal salary gap of executives and narrowing the average salary gap between single company and the whole industry.
