The development of the Internet and new media has greatly enriched communication channels and changed the way the public receives and chooses information.Science TV programs are facing great challenges as well as opportunities in this information age.On the one hand,with the rapid development of the Internet and we-media,various forms of science programs have blossomed,arousing the public's unprecedented interest in science.On the other hand,there is a continuous decline in the watching rate of TV.It is worrying that science TV programs are pursuing excessive entertainment and dramatization,and some even deviate from the spirit of science.There are both social reasons for the change of communication mode and internal reasons for the lack of innovation in TV programs.TV programs are rich in expression means and presents a wide range of contents,which make TV to be a major media for spreading science since long.This paper takes the science TV programs produced in recent years as the main research object,deeply analyzes the competitive factors of science TV programs,discusses and puts forward specific suggestions on how to improve the core competitiveness of Chinese science TV programs.This paper consists of five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which summarizes the domestic and foreign studies on science communication and core competitiveness of TV programs from the macro level,and then elaborates the research ideas and methods of this paper.The second chapter summarizes the basic situation of science programs broadcast in the history of Chinese TV programs,as well as the main forms and representative programs of science programs at home and abroad.The third chapter is the key part of this paper.It explores the core competitiveness of science TV programmes by approaching respectively major aspects of competitiveness and making analysis based on study of specific cases.Chapter four,based on the findings of this paper,puts forward several specific Suggestions on how to improve the competitiveness of Chinese science TV programs in the new era of media integration and development.Based on the theory of communication,combined with case analysis,in-depth interview,text analysis and other methods,the author interviewed the main creators of several typical science programs for several times,and analyzed in detail the unique competitive advantages and key factors of science TV programs from the aspects of policy background,program content and performance form,in hope to provide objective and comprehensive theoretical reference for future research in this field.
