In the process of design, development and production of mobile communication equipment, the performance of RF equipment plays a vital role in the performance of the whole machine,so the detection of the performance of RF equipment has become a key task.In the traditional detection methods, the oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, vector analyzer, signal source and other devices are often used to detect the noise parameters, gain flatness, group delay,IP3 and other indicators of the RF device. The test system is complex. The price is high, and it is still impossible to accurately determine the comprehensive impact of multiple indicators on communication equipment. Therefore, this paper proposes a new RF device test method. The main design idea of this test method is to directly generate the standard signal under some kind of communication system, input it to the RF device, and perform constellation and EVM analysis on the output signal of the RF device.Accurately judge the comprehensive impact of multiple performance indicators of the RF device on the communication device. This method greatly simplifies the complexity of the test system, reduces the test cost, and improves the test efficiency. In order to verify the generality and validity of the proposed test method in CDMA system, the typical representative HSPA+ communication signal in CDMA system is selected as the test signal, and a RF device testing method based on HSPA+ signal is designed in this paper.HSPA+ technology is a technology introduced by 3GPP in the R7 version, and in the subsequent versions, the rate of data services is accelerated by adding and changing channels and adding high-order modulation methods. It is an upward upgrade of traditional CDMA systems such as HSPA and WCDMA,and is an ideal evolution plan for 3G network upgrades in a certain period of time. Therefore, the choice of HSPA+ as a test signal under CDMA system is very representative. This paper introduces some parameters of measuring RF devices fistly, and introduces the design ideas of new test methods in detail. Then according to the design process of the new test method, the HSPA+ testing signal generation is studied, and the key technologies in the design process are discussed in detail. At the same time, the HSPA+ testing signal is simulated in the MATLAB platform. After obtaining the test signal,it passes through the device under test, analyzes the output constellation and EVM value, and compares with the EVM upper limit error required by the protocol to verify the feasibility of the new test method. At the end of this paper, the hardware implementation of HSPA+ testing signal is designed. The theoretical simulation is transplanted into the actual platform, which provides test signals for subsequent actual hardware testing. The paper verifies the feasibility of the test method from the software level. It uses the standard test signal HSPA+ to transmit to different RF devices. The output constellation and EVM calculation can be used to easily and quickly obtain the comprehensive performance of the RF device. It reduces the equipment and workload of traditional testing methods, and provides a new idea for the research of RF device performance testing methods.
