Stage,Characteristics And Response:Practical Exploration Of Non-fictional News Writing

The beginning of new journalism in the 1950 s and 1960 s has caused a discussion in the US journalism industry and has been sought after by the American people.However,some people have criticized that when they know the image of the master in Jim's World,which was fictional and once awarded the Pulitzer Prize,the US Press Council also officially adopted the new journalism.The negative effects were liquidated and the craze for new journalism faded.However,in the non-fiction writings that appeared later,the pursuit of details,character dialogue,scene description and other writing techniques have the same effect as new journalism.The emergence of non-fictional writing has also been a revival of the new journalism by many people.As a foreign product,“non-fiction writing”first entered the field of literature in our country and gradually became the focus of the press.Although there is no clear definition of what is “non-fiction writing”,the unique writing concept of non-fiction writing has long existed in our news practice,that is,the well-known news style of feature.The combination of literary and news style makes the news feature unique.The story expression is another important feature of non-fiction writing in the practice of journalism.This writing method is also the object of attention for non-fiction writing.It is also a worthwhile aspect to discuss when non-fiction writing rose in China,the reasons for its rise,the background of its emergence and the prominent features of its development.This paper takes the non-fiction writing practice type in the field of journalism---the special feature as the research object.The development process of non-fiction writing is sorted out from the perspective of journalism history.It is found that its emergence and development in China are not only influenced by the new journalism,but also related to China's reportage.This article based on Liu Yong's description of non-fiction writing in “Symphony and Variation of Journalism and Literature: A Diachronic Investigation of‘Non-Fictional Writing'”,this paper presentsthe views of Zeng Runxi and Wang Qian in “From Traditional Special Draft to Non-fiction Writing: Present Situation and Future of Special Draft in the New Media Age” and some other scholars' views on the development of non-fiction writing,the development process of non-fiction writing in China is roughly divided into three stages:the first stage of the 1990 s,the Bin Dian feature was mainly produced at that time.Under the state of reform,it advocates a wave of “popularization” development,and“informatization” has gradually become the pursuit of the news industry.In this stage,as a groping stage of non-fiction writing,it presents a mixed state of investigative reports,explanatory reports,and personal reports,which does not form a specific and clear feature writing style;The second stage begins with the special draft of Southern Weekend,“Death of the Weightlifting Champion”,because this article is totally different from the former feature in terms of Chinese characteristics,news professionalism,news value,story core and other aspects.It opened the curtain of the “Chinese-style” feature draft,and the “Chinese-style” feature was also called by journalism and industry as the concrete practice of non-fiction writing in the news.In this stage,The Southern Weekend's pursuit of the “Chinese-style” feature draft also led to the participation of other newspaper groups.And a number of excellent feature works and excellent feature writers have been born.This stage has also been called as the golden stage of feature writing by many scholars;with the advent of the new media era,it has entered the third stage.The traditional media platform,especially the paper media,was hit by the new media wave,and the income was reduced.Due to the periodicity of the manuscript writing and the investment risk,which made some paper media feature departments gradually discontinued,the feature writing position gradually moved to news magazines,fashion magazines and some non-fiction writing platforms established by the new media.During the period of feature writing,the writers of feature writing changed,and the writing mode of topic selection was also different.In the process of combing the development of non-fiction writing in China's journalism field,this paper finds that the development of non-fiction writing is always closely related to the development of China's media environment and the news industry,although there are shortcomings such as conflicts with journalism professionalism,immaturity of business models,this is something that every new thing has to face.This article also hopes to further show people the living conditions and future development direction by sorting out the three stages of its development.
