Research On The Reporting Of "Sexual Harassment" In Internet Media From The Perspective Of Media Ethics Take The Relevant Reports Of Sina News From 2016 To 2018 As An Example

In recent years,under the influence of the #Me Too# movement,more and more women who are suffering or have suffered " sexual harassment" before have chosen not to remain silent but to go to the front of the screen and take the initiative to accuse themselves of the harm they have suffered on the microblog platform or in contact with the media.At that time,the issue of "sexual harassment" attracted people's attention again.Internet media as a force of social supervision also participated.This is an anti-sexual harassment movement with wide influence worldwide.With the help of the Internet,the #Me Too# movement has changed women's negative attitude towards sexual harassment,and has played a positive role in promoting women's self-awareness,restructuring the structure of gender rights and safeguarding gender rights and interests and has become an important opportunity for the development of feminism in China in the new era.This article uses a combination of content analysis and text analysis to select Sina News from October 1st,2016 to October 1st,2018,on the topic of sexual harassment,a total of 439 samples from the basic situation of news reports(content source,Category of the published channels,number of reports),content classification(information source,news genre,event attribution)and the characteristics of the news text(the agenda setting,event consequences,misconduct)are used to build the category.According to statistics,Sina News' report on sexual harassment is mainly based on reprinting online media,and the number of reports is increasing year by year.The report genre is mainly based on news,mainly distributed in the social sector;The victim's discourse power is lacking;the title highlights the detailed description,the negative emotion spreads;the tendency to extroverted attribution,emphasizes the power of the perpetrator;the case reports are more,and the lack of deep excavation of the topic.In addition,this paper combines the relationship between gender politics and journalism ethics,thoroughly interprets the content of some report texts,interprets the narrative style in sexual harassment report,tries to seek news narrative and journal ethics,and satisfies the audience's right to know and protect.The balance between the victims' privacy rights has made the news coverage of such events more comprehensive and objective.According to the characteristics of the “Sexual Harassment” issue reported by the portal,the author borrows the utilitarian framework of media ethics to seek the maximization of interests and explores the real interests of the victims,the media and the public.The victim's interest needs are: using public opinion to achieve the "injuring party";protecting their privacy and avoiding "sufficiently identified" information;the media carefully and restrainedly report details and objective and fair attribution.The media's interest needs are: full use of reporting rights,commercial operations,and entertainment expressions to attract traffic.Finally,the public's interest needs are: the right to know is protected,the desire to be satisfied is satisfied,and the report can have a warning meaning and maintain the order of the public space.By clarifying the true interests of these three subjects,we seek a balance between the interests of the three in the reporting process to achieve the goal of “the greatest happiness of the most people”.
