From 1840 s to the present,the pulsed power technology has moved from the laboratory to the national defense research field.It has played a very important role in the field of national defense and scientific research,and has been valued by all countries in the world.Now,with the maturation of pulsed power technology,application of pulse source has come from the defense application to civil field,it has very high application value in environmental protection,industrial production,biomedical and other fields.In consideration of this,some new technical requirements of pulsed power technology are proposed,including miniaturization,high pulsed power,solid-state,high repetition rate,narrow pulse and so on.Based on the requirements of pulsed power technology in market and civil field,this paper do a very deep research on the development of pulsed power technology and its application,and choose NLTL compression technology to achieve high repetition frequency high voltage narrow pulse power device.Due to the limit of numerical calculation method in waveform prediction in nonlinear transmission line,this paper designed a NLTL circuit model,which can be widely used in nonlinear transmission line simulation.Later,through studying the parameters of the nonlinear transmission line circuit model,determine the effects of pulse input waveform(rise time,pulse width,pulse amplitude),load resistance,nonlinear transmission line order,inductance value,and capacitance value(fitting formula of nonlinear factor),which will influence of wave propagation in nonlinear transmission lines.Further,the C(V)curve of ceramic capacitor is specially tested,and the fitting formula for nonlinear capacitor is established.On this basis,a pulsed power device,which has a 400 k Hz pulse repetition frequency,0 to 8000 V adjustable voltage amplitude and 30 A peak current,nanoseconds pulse width output,is designed based on a high speed MOSFET switch and pulse boosting network.After that,based on the nonlinear transmission line theory,a pulse compression circuit and a soliton pulse compression circuit are designed.For the pulse compression circuit,the 400 Kz repetition frequency,3000 V pulse amplitude,200 ns rising edge input pulse is compressed to 75.9ns.And for the soliton pulse compression circuit,the input pulse is separated in the nonlinear transmission line,and the output pulse of the nanosecond pulse width is received.After meet the basic indexes of the project,according to the requirement of the market and commercialization,the miniaturization and product design of the pulse power device is carried out,which achieve a no storage capacity and be able to continue to work stably under no cooling system.Besides,the volume and weight is much smaller than the previous pulse power device.At the end of the paper,the application of pulsed plasma used the pulse source as the excitation device is studied,including optical plasma antenna based on DBD discharge,atmospheric pressure plasma jet applied to surface cleaning,and pulse discharge plasma oil removal.The excellent properties and wide application of pulsed discharge plasma are verified.
