According to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center in 2017,the official websites of social media and news organizations are gradually becoming the most important way for people to gather news.Social media like WeChat and Weibo attract a large audience group.Traditional media has become increasingly sluggish and their circulation has fallen sharply.In the face of this declining situation,only continuous transformation can survive in the Internet era,and ith the advent of the video era,a number of traditional medias have been transformed with the help of short video and live broadcasting technology.Most traditional media have commenced video sections or even have specialized video production departments.As the pioneer of the provincial party media and video transformation,Zhejiang Daily Press Group established a full-media video and image center and launched “Zhe Video”.On January 1,2017,under the guidance of the core strategy of “News interfuses into videos,videos go professional”,“Zhe Video” was officially launched.In 2018,“Zhejiang Video” produced a total of 4113 original videos,with a total playback of3.922 billion over the internet.This thesis uses a random date sampling method,extracts 233 pieces of "Zhe Video" short video news from 21 days as a research sample,and analyzes its content characteristics and deficiencies.In the beginning,the author reviewed the continuous transformation of Zhejiang Daily Press Group and the status quo of "Zhe Video".Then,the author statistical analyzes the sample of “Zhe Video”,from video playback quantity,reposts and comments amount,video length,topic selection,source of video material,whether interviews were added,whether the reporter made appearance,news event occurrence area,times of the same news report,the frequency of the title's words,the perspective of the text,the use of multimedia video,and whether background music were added,comes to the conclusion that three aspects of the short video news,content,production,and issue of "Zhe Video".The characteristic of the news content includes following up to the people's and local news highlights;the news production features the “de-televisionization” video production and highlighting the news of the video while “de-televisionization”.Meanwhile the short video's lengths of “Zhe Video” is more acceptable for the reading habits of reading;the features of the news issuing include: multi-channel distribution,news release on time,and the license of “Zhejiang Video” can be used helpfully.Although the characteristics of “Zhejiang Video” are larruping,there are also shortcomings at present,which stand out in content presentation and propagation effect of the samples.The problems presented by the sample contents are the humdrum of news appearance,the disorder of the column settings,the insufficient depth of the news and the noticeable subjectivity of the report.The problem of the propagation effect includes the huge gaps between video playback quantity and interactions between Weibo application and “Zhe Video” application.For these shortcomings,the author comes up with improvement strategies in five aspects:content,production,operation,talent and policy implementation.
