| With the rapid development of the economy,the governments of various regions have placed their regional images in an important position in the pursuit of further development of their regions.as the first impression of the local public to the outside world,the regional image is an important soft power for regional development.Usually,the regional image plays a crucial role in the socio-economic development of the region.A positive regional image can better improve the external environment for regional development and promote further development of the region.This article takes the 2009-2018 People's Daily news report on Gansu Province as a sample,and selects 303 valid samples to categorizes the samples into: layout,report length,report area,report genre,and report topics,through comparison,the author analysis the regional image People's Daily news report have on Gansu Province,mainly includes: medium attention but not enough deep excavation,reporting angle centralize,uneven regional distribution and lack of new reporting methods.Then,from the perspective of the "news framework" research,the author analyzes the common framework used by the People's Daily for Gansu Province news reports: the "political consequences",the "economic consequences",the "cultural consequences",the "promotion" and the “responsibility and attribution”.In addition,the People's Daily's staggered characteristics of the news report on Gansu Province are also quite evident.Political issues,economic issues,ecological issues,and issues concerning agriculture,rural areas and farmers have always been a focus,and through time,cultural issues are also gradually being made a point.However,in general,the regional image presented by Gansu Province in the People's Daily still lags behind,and it has the characteristics of seeking development in the west and ecological problems to be improved.In the end,according to the regional image presented by Gansu Province in the People's Daily,the author comes up with corresponding strategies: the government should shape the role of the responsible person of the province;the media should carry out the responsibility of news communication;citizens should strengthen theirmedia literacy and their own image awareness. |
