In recent years,China has been frequently exposed on the international stage and has received a lot of attention from internationally renowned media such as The Economist. The “symbolic reality” that the modern media has reminded people has a huge impact on the audience's understanding and understanding of the objective world. How well-known foreign media present China's international image will have a huge impact on China's international affairs activities. Therefore, this article takes "The Economist" as the research object and analyzes how the Chinese national image is presented in the economic field and social culture. This paper collects 1118 reports on China from the 2014 to 2018 "Economist" titled China and Chinese. After extensive reading,it was found that the vast majority of the Economist's political reports in China had irrational prejudice, which was not in line with the research intention of this paper.Therefore,479 political-related reports were excluded, and the remaining 639 economic and social cultural categories were excluded.Reported for research. This paper takes "framework theory" as the research theory, and "document analysis method" and "content analysis method" as the main research methods. This article not only categorizes the number of issues and topics covered in China in the past five years, but also presents the dynamic changes of the issues. And summed up the changes and trends of the "Economist" China-related reporting framework, paving the way for the next chapter of China's national image.Secondly, this paper combines the "innovation" strategy, the "Belt and Road" construction, the "environmental protection" policy with the dynamic presentation of China's national image, and analyzes the impact of "China policy" on the "Economist" China report. The comprehensive presentation of China's national image began with three aspects: “positive”,“negative” and “neutral”.After research,it was found that positive images were presented in environmental protection, technological innovation, and private enterprise management;negative images were presented in rural areas. The problem of population aging, catastrophic reporting, monetary and financial issues;neutral image is presented in international investment and trade, macroeconomic operations, and various social phenomena. After sorting out the data of the China-related reports,I found out.The topics covered by the Economist in China are mainly “negative”,but gradually shifting to “neutrality”,which means that the choice of topics is no longer concentrated in China's “dark zone”,which will benefit China's national image.Positive presentation. In addition to the political field, the attitudes of China-related reports tend to be "neutral" rather than "arrogant prejudice",which basically reflects the original appearance of China's economic and social fields. This is determined by the values of "Anglo-American liberalism" held by The Economist. In addition, this paper analyzes the impact of factors such as “policy guidelines” and “economic development” on the framework of The Economist. It is hoped that by analyzing the "Economist" 's presentation of China's national image and its changing framework, and exploring the influence of various factors on its framework structure and attitude,it will provide ideas for China to establish a good international image.
