With the development of Internet broadband access technologies,the detrusion of the C-DOCSIS industry standard by the Tri-Network Integration and SARFT's strategic deployment of China's next-generation broadcast and television network(NGB),providing a theory and political foundation for the bidirectional network transformation of the HFC network..How to use the newest technology to achieve low-cost,high-quality HFC bidirectional network transformation has become a common topic of domestic cable operators.The WASU Hangzhou backbone network was originally a HFC unidirectional network.The network has low initial investment costs,wide coverage,and low operating costs.However,due to the development of digital TV services in recent years,the bandwidth requirements for SDTV,HD,and even 4K ultra-high-definition(HD)services are increasing.the traditional centralized management of the head-end,the uniform allocation of HFC channels,and the distribution of unidirectional HFC networks covered by the branches are far from satisfying the increasing service requirements of the WASU HFC network.Considering the current mainstream HFC bidirectional network transformation plan and cost accounting and other factors,WASU media network company has begun to transform the main urban HFC bidirectional network,so that the number of urban users to achieve HFC network Internet broadband access.the focus of this article is as follows:(1)According to the main characteristics of HFC transmission network system of broadcasting and TV,aiming at the current situation and development of HFC bidirectional network reform at home and abroad,study the current working principle,advantages and disadvantages of four schemes about HFC bidirectional network transformation(HTTX,EOC,DOCSIS international standard CMTS+CM,C-DOCSIS).Analyze the characteristics and advantages of the MiniCMTS system under the C-DOCSIS solution;determine the network modification plan using the MiniCMTS system for WASU.(2)Based on the system requirements of MiniCMTS,infrastructure of WASU and the current number of network resources,the demand analysis of WASU MiniCMTS is presented.(3)Refer to the actual scheme of HFC bidirectional network transformation in the domestic industry,and design the network structure and implementation of the MiniCMTS system based on the current status at WASU,involving the topology structure of the network and the deployment and connection of network elements;Channel allocation;system parameters and index planning,elaborated the overall architecture and functional modules of the network management system(NMS).(4)Configure and explain the NMS platform so as to realize online testing and equipment management in the later stage of research work.(5)Build a test platform to test the system equipment.Access HFC network,comprehensively test the channel index of HFC bidirectional network and actual service carrying capacity,test and demonstrate of the NMS.The research and test results show that the WASU MiniCMTS system fully utilizes the advantages and features of the HFC's own network,realizes the low-cost HFC bidirectional network transformation,By building a network management platform(NMS),the remote monitoring and management of the CMC equipment,the client CM device,the network intermediate equipment and the HFC network channel are realized,so as to realize the centralized management and operation of the CMC equipment and the client CM device.and realizes the coaxial cable broadband access to internet services without affecting the traditional broadcast television and value-added services.Fully meet the requirements of HFC system bidirectional network transformation and design.
