The next-generation game is the most advanced and most experimental type of game.The game scenario is an important part of the game story carrier and the atmosphere of the game constructor.In this paper,the next-gen game scene design the related production technology and implementation way were in-depth discussed and studied based on unreal engine for game development platform.A suitable method for making next generation game scenarios with application of unreal engine 4 was proposed by some key technologies research and concrete practice.The mainly point of this paper was focuses on the implementation of the next-generation game scenario design in the production of the next-generation game scene model,the production of the normal map,and the related technologies in the unreal engine,such as the model optimization,the PBR material making,the realization of the natural environment,etc.based on the unreal engine.The mainly research work of this paper includes:The main differences between the next generation games and traditional online games in the production technology,artistic aesthetics and operation mode,the connotation and extension of the unreal engine,and the application status of the unreal engine at home and abroad,and its advantages for next-generation game development were analyzed and compared.Through concrete practice,some efficient methods of making natural environment in the unreal engine was summed up,including coordination of the terrain editing tools in the engine with the WorldMachine terrain generation software,which created real terrain efficiently,and coordination with SpeedTree plant production software and vegetation painting tool,which the making and drawing method in the game scene was summarized.Based on the research and practice of the next generation modeling technology,it was concluded that the scene production was produced through by two steps.The first step was that the high and low modes of scene were separately completed in their respective environments,and then import them into the engine and assemble them in a modular way.The second step is to generate collision body by setting the relevant function,such as LOD in the engine.The PBR material logic implementation in the unreal engine was carefully analyzed.Based on the specific production of terrain material,high modulus material and low modulus material,the differences in logical expression of different material properties were analyzed,and then the production thinking and production methods of PBR materials was summaried.
