Research On Personalized Information Service In Qinhuangdao University Library

It promotes the progress and development of Qinhuangdao university library through the research on personalized information service which enriches the current research theory to a certain extent and helps to optimize the resource allocation to meet more personalized needs and serve more users of the university library in this region.The users' desire for personalized information service has been known gradually and some certain effects have been achieved by Qinhuangdao university library.The electronic resources and database resources have been riched increasingly.The personalized information service system is basically formed.The personalized information service level is improved and the mobile library has been developed rapidly and so on.However,it is not popular and there are still many problems in the promotion process,such as poorly targeted services,insufficient access to personalized information service,low utilization of information resources and so on.In view of these problems,the causes are analyzed and put forward corresponding improvement strategies.It is found that the users have a certain demand for personalized information service and higher requirements.But the personalized information service provided such as the reference service,book borrowing by university library is still on a relatively shallow level,and the deeper level of that such as customization,intelligent agent of personalized information and other services have not yet been involved.It is necessary to strengthen the publicity and promotion of personalized information service and increase the information service communication among the university libraries in this city.They finally realize the optimized allocation of information resources and improve the level of personalized information service by realizing the barrier-free interlibrary loan and establishing the university library alliance.In this paper,the research method of questionnaire and comparative analysis have been adopted.The information service and personalized information service of four representative university libraries have been studied and analyzed by questionnaire and the service modes,functions and characteristics of six university library websites arecompared by comparative research method.
