The Content Analysis Of Netease Datablog Wechat Official Accounts Platform's Data Journalism

The WeChat Official Accounts Platform has always been one of the research hotspots in academic field,and data journalism as a form of emerging news report in the Big Data Era has also aroused wide public concern.To the data journalism and the WeChat Official Accounts Platform association study will help us establish a new framework of data journalism communication research.At the same time,it can enrich the theoretical system of data journalism communication,and provide more theoretical support for the innovation practices of data journalism platforms in China.In this paper,the author takes the Netease datablog WeChat Official Accounts Platform's data journalism as the research object.This paper conducts content analysis in multiple perspectives which are from the topic selection of news,data sources,the news content and data visualization presentation form,meanwhile,with the analysis tool of Rost Content Mining for cognitive analysis.Thus,this paper discovers the characteristics and defects of the Netease datablog WeChat Official Accounts Platform,finds out the reasons and gives some comments and suggestions.This paper summarizes the related concept and definition of data journalism through an extensive of literature review at first,then it uses the “inverted Pyramid structure” to analyze the operational process of data journalism into five steps: compile,clean,context,combine and communicate.And interprets the characteristics of data journalism's communication based on the "5W" theory's five dimensions,including the communicators,the communication content,the media,the receivers and the communication effect.This paper then combines the characteristics of data journalism and the WeChat Official Accounts Platform,interprets the status of the Netease datablog WeChat Official Accounts Platform development,summarize its content type,column features,advantages and disadvantages.Based on content analysis as the main research method,the paper finds out that the Netease datablog WeChat Official Accounts Platform has several problems in content,such as scarce of independent data mining,incomplete data mining,lack of innovation content,lack of vitality of social media and communication skills.By reading the literature and referring to the domestic data journalism platform's actual situation,the author summarizes five suggestions to optimize the contents of the Netease datablog WeChat Official Accounts Platform.First,building a complete and reasonable data team.Then improving the quality of the topic selection of news.Thirdly,broadening the data collection channels.Fourthly,enriching the means of data presentation.Finally,emphasizing interactive communication skills.The author hopes to take the paper as the breakthrough point,to provide some useful reference for the healthy development of other domestic data journalism WeChat Official Accounts Platform in social platform by analyzing the content of Netease datablog WeChat Official Accounts Platform.At the same time,the author hopes to enlighten the data journalism with a new research perspective,expand the research field,and promote the progress of data journalism in China.
