With the tremendous economic growth and dramatically population increase in China,the improvement in standards of crop yield and quality has been steady and persistent.The ways of traditional agriculture such as " Experience in Planting" will no longer meet the demands of the information era.In order to make the process of agricultural production "transparent" and the information of farmland "digital",this paper chooses ZigBee wireless sensor network technology to design a system for the collection of the field information according to the requirements of “precision agriculture”.This system can collect the farmland data accurately to improve the efficiency of agricultural production and increase the yield of crops.The design scheme of system includes two aspects: the software and the hardware,which relies on ZigBee wireless technology.In the aspect of hardware design,the selection of the devices and the design of the circuits are mainly studied.The design takes the three types of nodes as the breakthrough point with a unique idea that the separation of the core board and the bottom board to study them.The core board is responsible for the duties of the node controlling,data processing and data transferring and so on,Ti CC2530 is selected as the chip of the core board.Relying on the function of the node in the power module bottom plate nodes,the unique designs has been made on serial communication module,data display module and other aspects to reduce the redundant nodes devices,the cost and energy consumption of the system.Four kinds of sensors are chosen to collect the type of farmland data,which is the field air temperature and humidity sensor,soil temperature and humidity sensor,CO2 concentration sensor and light intensity sensor.All of the data will be returned to the host computer for display.In the aspect of software design,with the foundation of three node functional properties,the system chooses the 2.5.1a Z-Stack protocol stack under the circumstances of IAR development.The design uses C language programming to complete networking,collection,communication,display and other processes of each node.Not only the system is convenient for the transmission and extraction of data packets,focusing on the specification of the packet format but also specifically elaborates workflow of "intermittent work timing wake-up" according to the CC2530 chip operating mode of the switching mechanism,which can meet the requirements of energy saving.Through the measurement and calculation of the distance of data transmission,the energy consumption of each node in farmland information collection system and the system test of the actual working performance,the results show that the research has a high practical value because not only the system is accurate,stable and fast but also the data display is clear and concise.
