Visible Light Communication(VLC)technology,based on existing LED devices,combines wireless optical communications with illumination to provide a new communications solution for the future smart society.Compared with the traditional RF communication technology,visible light communication has no damage to the human body and sufficient resources without license permission as well as higher information security.It is considered as a good complement to 5 G communication and WIFI technology.Most of research use discrete components and PCB building systems while the reports of visible light communication integrated chips are rare.This thesis designs two kinds of LED-based VLC receiver integrated circuits adopting pseudo-differential structure and two-channel receiver diversity technology,respectively.Both receivers employ the UMC standard 180 nm CMOS process design and the optical receiver with pseudo-differential structure was fabricated finally.In the design of optical receiver,different structures of transimpedance amplifiers(TIA)are analyzed and compared which are traditional common-source,current mode,RGC structure and inverter-based structure.Finally,the current mode and RGC structure are selected as two receivers' input stages,respectively.In order to enhance the system bandwidth,the design utilizes the equalization circuit based on the capacitance degeneration technology and its optimized circuit using the negative capacitance compensation technology.The limiting amplifiers of two receivers are designed with traditional cascade differential circuits and Cherry Hopper structure,respectively,contributing to increase signal gain for digital signal processing.The pseudo-differential optical receiver was manufactured successfully,and the area of overall chip is 560 ?m × 462 ?m.The measure transimpedance gain of the receiver is up to 100 dB? with the-3 dB bandwidth of 600 MHz.The receiver can operate at data rate of 300 Mb/s with the eye-diagram clear and open.The overall electronic-opticalelectronic(EOE)system was also realized.This can contribute to the exploration of integrated circuit of visible light communication technologies.
