Recent years,China governments take much more resource at IC development that cause to generating more and more IC related companies.As a backward company,foundry plays a very important role to ensure the progress of IC industry.As an operation way from Japan,Lean Manufacturing mainly focus on finding the waste of manufacturing,getting the best path to improve the efficiency and reducing cost.As production planning in IC foundry,how to use lean mind to foundry manufacturing will be the most important project we'd like to research.In this paper,we try to work out two types wafer start arrangement with the mind of zero inventories and zero waste,“Cost model” and “Bottleneck model”.“Cost model” is based on the most expensive machine in the company and use the rule of zero waste to find out the correlation between companies' output and start number.Then simulate different polynomial formula and input the actual data to verify.“Bottleneck model” is based on dynamical bottleneck machine in production line to find the correlation between outputs and wafer start number,between queue time and wafer start number,come out different polynomial formula and input the actual data to verify.For this paper,we find the best wafer start arrangement guideline when receiving the order from customer to ensure the company's high efficiency,low cost.This paper will do research for these two models.
