A Comparative Study On The Construction Of Domestic Disasters And Foreign Disasters In People's Daily

Taking the disaster news of domestic and foreign countries in People's Daily as an example,and uses qualitative and quantitative research methods to investigate the content form and discourse construction of domestic and foreign disaster news in People's Daily,tryng to explore what kind of domestic and foreign disaster news in People's Daily.and at the same time,what kind of discourse methods and strategies are used to construct domestic and foreign disaster news.After discussing the domestic and foreign disaster news of the People's Daily,this study found that when the People's Daily reported on domestic and foreign disaster news,it use s more news reports,positive tone,and strong communication to present domestic disaster news;for foreign disaster news,more news reports,negative tone and in-depth reports with deep-seated reasons are used to present.Secondly,in the report of the People's Daily,it has built a picture of disasters and difficulties for foreign countries,the information on rescue information is reported less;but the domestic disasters were constructed with positive and optimistic pictures,the disaster relief and other related information were reported.In addition,when the People's Daily reported on the domestic disaster news,it adopted the way of diluting disaster,Although the disaster information was inevitable,it did not over-emphasize,and at the same time strengthened the information on prevention,rescue and treatment of disasters,The domestic disaster report was balanced;For foreign disaster news,People's Daily has adopted a method of intensifying disasters,trying to highlight the disaster situation abroad,rendering it in rhetoric and style,and simply summarizing the rescue information,showing signs of dilution.In a word,when the people's Daily reports on domestic disasters and foreign disasters,there are many phenomena of reporting attitude bias,the construction of picture image opposites,and the differentiation of narrative strategies.These things are our media should pay attention to when reporting domestic disaster news and foreign disaster news.
