Restrained by capital and resource,etc.,small and medium-sized software companies are prone to facing the problems such as actual workload of a project exceeding expected workload,insufficient human resources and improper work allocation,etc.Based on these problems,this thesis put forward a model for estimating the workload and allocating human resource for software companies.In terms of chapter arrangement,firstly,the research background and objectives of this thesis were put forward in line with the status quo of software industry and the problems faced in actual work,the status quo both home and abroad was analyzed.Then research was carried out on relevant knowledge about project management.Next,the problems in workload estimation and human resource allocation in small and medium-sized software companies were expounded,and improvement thoughts and ways were put forward.Moreover,workload estimation and human resource allocation were extracted and analyzed together to verify the feasibility of the ways through actual cases.Finally,the work and research were summarized and expected.The research achievements are mainly as follows:1.With productivity factor as the core,the productivity factor was obtained by means of three-point estimation technique,Delphi method and productivity calculation.Then the project scale was estimated by means of PERT and function point combination.Finally,a model for estimating the workload of software project was built by dividing project scale by productivity.As for productivity factor,firstly,the dimensionalities affecting productivity factor were established,then the affecting extent of each dimensionality was confirmed by means of three-point estimation technique,the affecting weight of each dimensionality was confirmed by means of Delphi method,and actual productivity factor was finally obtained by means of weighted calculation.As for scale estimation,firstly,the function points of the data and business were confirmed by means of PERT to ensure the objectivity of the data,and then the project scale was calculated by means of function point estimation,and it was finally converted into the workload to be estimated.2.With personnel's skills as the core,RACI model was improved,and optimal deployment of human resources was realized by means of CPM diagram and Gantt chart.Firstly,the time needed by human resource was confirmed by means of CPM network diagram,and then it was converted into Gantt chart in accordance with the time and the human resource on RACI matrix.The resource arrangement on critical path was ensured before circularly adjusting the human resource arrangement on Gantt chart in line with the sequence of personnel until finding the minimum conflict of resources.Finally,resource conflict was balanced in the principle of resource balance,thus realizing the minimum conflict and maximum reuse of human resources.The proposed model and method are applied satisfactorily in the author's company.It has sound effect for projects which have strict requirements on workload estimation and projects which need few personnel.Also,it verifies the feasibility of the model.The model and method in this thesis can provide reference for small and medium-sized software companies to discuss workload estimation and human resource allocation.
