The paper studis the intergeneration,class and gender of media report about "Marrige Matchmaking Corner" based on the Media Construction Theory and collects the report texts of traditional media and internet media on Sina Weibo as the research object.It mainly uses the method of content analysis and focuses on Norman Fairclough's discourse analysis to analyze the media report of "Marrige Matchmaking Corner" as text or as social practice.The research mainly focuses on four issues: first,how to set the media issue of "Marrige Matchmaking Corner";second,what is the framework of the "Marrige Matchmakeing Corner" issue;third,what is the media picture of the "Marrige Matchmaking Corner";fourth,what is the social meaning of the interaction of media and audience discourse of "Marrige Matchmaking Corner".Among them,the last three research questions mainly focus on the three key dimensions: intergeneration,class and gender.The study found that on Sina Weibo,"Marrige Matchmaking Corner" media issue suddenly got a lot of attention in 2017 and maintained high attention in 2018.The setting mechanism is the first to be introduced by the traditional mainstream media,and the internet media continues to bless the construction process.The factual value framework,the alternative framework,and the social framework are the three major frameworks for "Marrige Matchmaking Corner" media issue.Among them,the intergeneration elements are hidden in the factual value framework,the class elements are hidden in the factual statement framework,and the gender elements are highlighted in the gender framework.In the media picture of the "Marrige Matchmaking Corner",in terms of the media image of the intergenerational group,the image of the parent is clear and rich,and the image of the offspring is vague and thin.The media image of the pro-generation is three kinds: parents who love their sons and daughters,Chinese parents,and anxious class guardian.As far as the media presentation of the concept of class is concerned,the prominent elements of the house,hukou,and academic qualifications are the concrete representation of the concept of class,and the “door-to-door” also metaphorizes the concept of class.As far as the media image of the gender group is concerned,the media uses the “age” metaphor to construct the contradictory image of the woman in the offspring—the daughter who is excellent but devalued,while the image of the offspring male is absent,and in the comparison it is interpreted as “the scarce and appreciating son”.Judging from the interaction between media and audience discourse of "Marrige Matchmaking Corner",the intergenerational discourse of the "Marrige MatchmakingCorner" represents the "presence" of the pro-generation.The audience adopts the response of treating the pro-generation as the other,reflecting that the traditional family values of the "presence" of parents have been negated by the children,and the traditional Chinese family culture has been weakened in the current society.The class discourse represents the social status quo of intermarriage within the class,and the audience adopts a merchant-style response,which shows the stability and continuity of the social marriage culture that values the class in social life.Gender discourse is characterized by traditional gender culture,and female groups have adopted a confrontational response.This indicates that women's autonomy is awakened,traditional gender culture has changed between generations,and the discipline of traditional gender culture has weakened.This study is the first comprehensive study of the issue of "Marrige Matchmaking Corner" in the field of communication science.It breaks through the sociological limitations of the existing "Marrige Matchmaking Corner" research,and analyzes the media report of "Marrige Matchmaking Corner" in combination with social and cultural context which helps to understand deeply the three key social tensions of the "Marrige Matchmaking Corner"-intergeneration,class and gender.
