Research On “Immersing Oneself Among The Masses During Spring Festival” Report From Shaanxi News

A series of activities of “Conversing with the masses,Changing the Working Manner and Transforming the Writing Ethos”(short for “Conversing,Changing and Transforming”)has been widely carried out countryside in press circle since 2011.It is designed to encourage editors and reporters to go to the factories,schools,rural areas and so on to obtain some first-hand fresh materials to report the remarkable achievements of China's economic and social development comprehensively and accurately.“Conversing with the masses during Spring Festival”,as part of“Conversing with the masses,Changing the Working Manner and Transforming the Writing Ethos”,has been a regular report form for most official media during Spring Festival Holiday at all levels across the country.“Conversing with the masses during Spring Festival”,highlighting the masses,taking forms fond by common people,fully reflects the mainstream value of the society which has become an important carrier for news media to fully play the role of the main channel of public opinion.Shaanxi News,as a provincial-level TV news program has actively carried out“Conversing,Changing and Transforming” activity and acquired remarkable achievements in the “Conversing with the masses during Spring Festival” report.This thesis is trying to deeply analyse its all 107 reports since Spring Festival in 2011 and sum up some practical experiences through the research on the topic selection planning,texts and program editing as well as some first-hand information from grass root interview.In addition,text analysis and“agenda setting theory” will also be used in the thesis.Meanwhile,some shortcomings such as repeated subjects,narrowing and insufficient planning ability will also be referred to.In terms of new report requirement of the new era,some feasible advices including enlarging report scope,establishing long-term mechanism and so on have been given in this thesis.
