| Opical channel checker is designed to measure both wavelength and opticalpower of multi wavelength optical signals in CWDM system.With the popularity andmaturity of optical fiber communication technology, optical fiber communicationapplications more widely and the demand for portable optical measuring instrumentsalso growin.Especially optical communication network construction and maintenanceworks mostly in the outdoor field,it is very demanding for the construction equipmentand tools.Therefore,the majority of optical communications network testing andconstruction users look forward to develop an compact,powerful,inexpensive,portablesmart measurement instrument.Currently optoelectronic instrumentation industry in FTTH,IPTV,CATVfiber-optic communications field only use single channel optical power meter orexpensive, bulky optical spectrum analyzer.And the common single channel powermeter is assembled from simple discrete components,it only measure the opticalpower of single wavelength.So it is a new challenges for the design of themulti-wavelength optical channel checker.The target of this project is to design and debvelop an integrated potical channelchecker.Firstly,we introduced the CWDM system development and related technicalstandards and do some research for the CWDM network equipment networkstructure.A new low-cost design of CWDM optical channel checker is alsoproposed.Secondly,we analyzed its specification compared to othercompanies’products such as JDSU,EXFO,Terahertz Technologies,Bayspec andestablished the design target of the product.Thirdly, optical channel checkerprinciple,MINI CWDM module production technology,peripheral hardwarecircuit,C8051f020microcontroller C language design,interactive interface wassystemtically expounded in this dissertation,on this basis the samples wereproduced,and ultimately got a complete product reliability test to pass,to make thisproject developed by the CWDM optical channel checker to achieve mass productionand commercialization. |
