The ground-to-air communication system is an important part for ground network and airborne network to communicate mutually.In recent years,with the rapid development of ground-to-air communication technologies,all sorts of advanced communication technologies have been applied in the aerospace field.Presently,the airborne network mode provided for passenger cabins in civil aviation systems via ground-to-air communication systems can be mainly summarized as three categories:airborne WLAN,ATG(air to ground)broadband communication network and satellite communication network.Every ground-to-air communication technology has its own limitation,for instance,airborne WLAN can't provide network service;ATG communication technology must rely on ground base stations,resulting in a limited network coverage scope;satellite communication technology can only provide a relatively small communication bandwidth,technical cost being relatively high subsequently and etc.Therefore,a single ground-to-air communication technology can't guarantee the service quality of airborne network.Based on the above-mentioned background,this thesis firstly takes some study about the status quo of ground-to-air communication systems and ADS-B(Automatic dependent surveillance-Broadcast)air traffic control system,analyzes the problems needing to be solved in providing continuous airborne internet via ground-to-air broadband communication systems,meanwhile discusses related technologies involved in the realization process of the communication simulation system of airborne broadband data chains.After that,this thesis introduces the overall design for the communication simulation system of airborne broadband data chains.According to the functions and the locations of different devices,the whole system can be divided into three independent sub-systems,that is,the airborne communication server system,communication chain simulation system and ground communication server system,which realize the whole broadband data chain simulation system via data interactions.Next,according to the functions realized by the sub-systems and the indexes and parameters of the whole system,this thesis takes modular design for various sub-systems and also displays the realized effects via visual approaches,in which theairborne communication server system mainly includes functional modules such as chain monitoring,application layer data handling,gateway and router,chain strategy,webpage interface and so on;the communication chain simulation system mainly includes system monitoring,chain simulation control,control interface and other functional modules;the ground communication server system mainly includes ground gateway interface,plane location broadcasting and etc.Finally,according to related enterprise requirements,this thesis establishes the testing environment and takes the functional and performance tests for the whole communication simulation system of airborne broadband data chains.The results show that all the system functions and indexes meet the enterprise requirements.Meanwhile,it successfully solves the multichannel switching problem of airborne communication chains and the asynchronism between airborne and ground gateways.
