Deep-space communication system is the key to contact human with the deep space probes. It isparticularly important to plan and optimize the deep-space communication system construction.Linkbudget and the wireless channel simulation play an important roal in the system design. Parameters ofground stations, detectors, channel and system is configurated to construct communication link budgetprocess. The radio communication environment of lunar surface is studied and the simulation of awireless communication environment is achieved. Finally, a communication link simulation softwareused on moon-earth and lunar surface is developed, which can calculate link margin accurately,quickly and conveniently. The research provides a reliable basis for the overall design of deep spacecommunication system.Firstly, the background and development of deep space communication is introduced. Variousfactors which decide performance of moon-earth communications link is analyzed,including groundstation, the detector antenna parameters, communication link noise loss, hot body noise, systemparameters, etc. The major loss and temperature noise which impact the channel is calculatedaccurately.Secondly, on the background of the lunar surface environment, the fading model of radio wavesis established to simulate the radio communication environment and to study characteristics ofelectromagnetic wave propagation, which provides reference to solve issues such as multi-path effects.Radio propagation path loss is analyzed and the results of communication quality of the lunar surfacesimulation is given, which provide a reference for the design of communication link on the lunarsurface.Based on the above, the overall design and software process of communication system softwareused on moon-earth and the lunar surface is described in the paper, including Lunar probe-to-groundcommunications link performance module, data transmission link budget module and communicationcapability on the lunar surface analysis module. Besides, the uniform format and standars of deepspace communication link calculation provided by CCSDS are used in Lunar probe-to-groundcommunications link parameters design. The performance analysis and link budget results includebeneficial and harmful tolerance tolerance.Finally, examples provided by CCSDS are applicated in the software. The test results prove thatthe software is stable and the performance indicators are in line with requirements.
