Power line communication refers to the communication method through power line as the transmission medium.It's mainly used in: remote automatic meter reading,distribution network automation control,home interconnection,intelligent community and last mile network access of multimedia communication.In recent years,the development of technology related to broadband power line communication has improved the transmission rate in power line communication,especially the development of OFDM which has made high-speed PLC possible.Due to the wide distribution of power lines and low cost advantage,power line communication has a broad application prospects.IEEE 1901 and ITU-T G.hn standards,as the most mature and stable standards currently in power line communications industry,have been widely used in Europe and the United States.But because of the differences between domestic and foreign power line communication environment,to study a broadband power line carrier communication standard suitable for domestic electricity environment is essential.The main objective of this paper is to research the data link layer protocol mechanism proposed by a domestic power grid enterprise of low-voltage power line broadband carrier communication system based on the analysis of power line broadband carrier communication technology specification design requirements.With the help of basic protocol simulation platform designed by experimental group,the link layer protocol simulation software is developed to complete the simulation research on the main mechanism and performance of the protocol.Firstly,the network topology and protocol stack are introduced.The channel access mechanism and data transmission mechanism of data link layer are analyzed.Secondly,the overall architecture,module division and operating mechanism of the basic simulation platform is presented.Thirdly,based on the basic simulation platform,the link layer protocol simulation system is built to realize the channel access and data transmission mechanisms.Finally,through the rational selection of simulation scenes,the performance of the network,throughput,delay and jitter included,under different conditions is tested.The test results are analyzed to give the evaluation of protocol performance.The simulation results verify the correctness of the developed link layer protocol simulation software,which indicates that the data link layer protocol has the validity of transmitting data on the power line.The simulation results of different testing scenes provide reference for protocol performance evaluation and provide a reference for the development of communication module for equipment manufacturers.
