The “urban disease” brought about by the rapid increase in urban population has brought more and more challenges to urban managers.Therefore,the traditional urban management model is no longer feasible.The smart city supported by the new generation of information and communication technologies uses in-depth urban informatization methods to realize the transformation of urban management methods,the refinement,automation and intelligence of urban management,becoming a solution to “urban diseases” as well as an important means to breakthrough the bottleneck in urban development.At present,China's policy encourages all localities to promote the construction of smart cities.Due to the late start,problems such as the mismatch between the construction of smart cities and urban characteristics have emerged.In addition to the enthusiasm for the construction of a smart city,it also requires top-level planning that matches the features of the city.How to design corresponding smart city function modules according to the actual situation of cities,how to use advanced technologies and equipment to meet the requirements of urban management applications reliably,and how to ensure that the designed smart city system can meet the future development needs as much as possible,are the important content which should be considered when designing a smart city construction plan,and it is also the starting point of this article's research.Firstly,the overall framework and related technologies of smart cities were studied,and the general framework of smart city construction and the application of key technologies were summarized in this thesis.And based on the investigation of the basic conditions and needs of the target city,this thesis analyzes the problems existing in the city management and the problems to be solved,depriving the top-level design requirements of the smart city in the target city.Based on this,the thesis next launches design of the smart city function system for the target city,discusses the requirements of the system for specific support applications,and the analyzes the scale of the system users.Then,in this thesis,the server performance requirement calculation model based on the TPC-C benchmark is studied,and the server performance requirements of the smart city application system in the target city are measured based on the scale of thesystem users.The storage capacity and transmission bandwidth requirements of the system are also estimated to ensure the future development needs of the system.In addition,according to the corresponding equipment configuration requirements,the writer discusses the selection and networking schemes of servers,storage devices,networks,and security devices here,and demonstrates the actual construction effects of the smart city system in the region.
