Study On Project Risk Analysis For Company E SAP Info System Implementation

E company is the largest leading communication equipment manufacturing company in China,the company plans through SAP information system implementation project to build company core information platform.As you may know SAP is not just a pure ERP software,but also shows the advanced management process and highly integrated business model,project risk management has been considered as one of the most key factors that results in project successful implementation.This paper mainly focuses on how to ensure SAP project implementation from project risk management perspective which includes effective planning,risk identification,risk assessment and risk control four aspects.Try best to mitigate or even eliminate the risk of project to reduce the potential loss during the whole implementation and make sure the roll out successfully.As a leading communication high-technology company,how to manage the project risk in a good level does really mean a lot to all over the whole industry.During the project identification session,this thesis applies brainstorming method,expert evaluation method,analytic hierarchy process(AHP)as well as some other technical methods to figure out the extremely important risks that could happen during the whole project Lifecyle.In the project risk planning phase,analyzed and summarized the project organization chart and the steering group as well as the main roles and responsibilities.In the project risk identification phase,subdivided the risk levels which include the project scope,data processing experience level,technical competence,management model as well as project operation environment,and then apply analytic hierarchy process for further evaluation to carry out the level of each risk which could be a database for coming quantitative analysis.In the project risk evaluation phase,by constructing the risk judgment matrix to quantification risk data and calculate the relative weight of risk to determine the result of the risk evaluation,the first priority is the project scope,then comes to project operation environment,then management model,the last two are technical competence and data processing experience level.In the project risk control phase,through the meetings with experts,using brainstorming method to work out the risk response based on the risk evaluation to avoid or reduce the possibilities during the whole project.
