As society,economy and culture have developed,the museum's social functions and service objects along with them have changed.The " ometic-centred " museum concept is rapidly making progress theoretically and practically.Being a non-profit cultural and educational institution,it achieves its main value by offering educational services to the public.One of the museum's four departments,the Science Museum represents the knowledge of natural sciences,practical sciences,technical sciences,animals and plants,and celestial movements.Along with the constant development of science and technology and the introduction of new media,the way in which scientific museums present themselves becomes more diverse and multimedia based interactive devices,which increasingly displace the core of traditional exhibitions as scientific museum exhibitions.Recent years there has been a change in the development trend of contemporary museums from collecting research to educational services.The Science Museum's visitors are mainly children and parents.Children represent the backbone of future.The Museum's education as an extension and supplement to family education plays an important role when it comes to educating children.In fact,the change in the way the Science Museum is displayed has attracted more children and parents to visit and enjoy.Yet the development of new media shows in science museums in China is just beginning,and how new media shows can be more effectively used to better educate children in museums has become an issue of urgency.The paper is a research object for children aged 7-12 and analyses the design features of the interactive exhibition for new media at the Museum of the case of the China Science and Technology Museum.The aim is to put forward a sensible strategy for the Science Museum's multi-media exhibition to stimulate the interactive experience for children.The paper first focuses on the current state of development of the New Media Exhibition at the Science Museum and the associated theories of the interactive experience of children aged 7-12,and recognizes the necessity and inevitability of children's interaction at the Science Museum.Secondly,the overall space,children and parents of the China Science and Technology Museum are investigated,and various aspects of the effect of new media exhibition of the China Science and Technology Museum on children's interactive experience are explored from the perspective of children.The interaction design elements of the China Science and Technology Museum are analyzed from the environment,technology and users.Finally,the optimization strategy is proposed for the overall space,interaction devices and interaction methods of the China Science and Technology Museum in order to enhance the interactive experience of children in the new media exhibition of the China Science and Technology Museum.
